Although there are numerous cosmetic brands which cater to the ever-growing need of the present generation, there is little awareness about the safety of these products, both on the skin as well as to the environment.
Products available commercially at the moment primarily use synthetic ingredients which, apart from being harmful on the skin are also non-biodegradable and pose a great threat for the marine life.
However, on the other hand, the world of organic and natural cosmetics and skin-care products is a niche market, with mostly hand-made products in circulation. To be honest, except for few brands there is not much technological innovation towards producing such products at a large scale.
We at Oleic Organic Sciences are constantly trying to blend the art and science of skin-care product making with necessary technological innovation. Our constant research and trial is intended at bringing out the best of the product, in which the natural goodness of all the ingredients are kept intact by skillful designs of the ingredients and the container.
As an example, we are making liquid castile soap and shampoos with bifurcation of the dispensing device into two halves and splitting the ingredients into the two chambers. This allows us a real time control on the pH (acidity), control on superfatting (moisturizing properties) of the product, limiting the use of preservative in the products and enhancing the shelf life by natural means. We have come up presently with a novel version of body wash and shampoo, and with progress we plan to come up with more exciting products.
